About Benton

Benton Montgomery – My Story

Benton focuses his knowledge and experience on helping his clients with investment planning, retirement planning and asset management.  He is dedicated to building relationships with his clients through regular contact and portfolio management.

Benton joined Harbor Financial Group as a partner in December of 2018.  He has 24 years of experience in the securities industry having previously worked with AG Edwards and most recently, Wells Fargo Advisors.  In addition to his Series 7 license, he also holds a Series 24 Principals license as well as Series 63,65, and 65 securities registrations all held with LPL Financial..

Benton graduated from Wofford College in 1984 and was a member of the college’s golf team. He still enjoys spending quality time with clients on the golf course or hunting and fishing.  He and his wife, Rebecca, have lived on the Grand Strand for over 30 years where they raised their two daughters, Merritt and Anna.
